Anchor Legal Group, PLLC is pleased to welcome Erin K. DeBoer to the firm, who will serve in the role of Counsel. Erin has a diverse background that includes work with nonprofits, academia, and the judicial branch of government. Her focus is complex litigation support and appellate law, particularly regarding novel legal issues. She also has a specific interest in helping nonprofit organizations and churches.
Erin earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude. While there, she honed her interest in constitutional law by becoming a Blackstone Fellow and working with Alliance Defending Freedom and the American Center for Law and Justice. Her advocacy through writing is her greatest strength, as she won the 1st Leroy R. Hassell, Sr. Writing Competition at Regent University School of Law.
Throughout her career, Erin has worked in a variety of areas, having served as a law clerk to the Hon. S. Bernard Goodwyn in the Supreme Court of Virginia before joining Regent University School of Law as a full-time faculty member. She worked for several years as a consultant at a local law firm before returning to the Supreme Court of Virginia to serve two more years as a law clerk.
Erin’s experience with the Supreme Court of Virginia honed her interest and skills in litigation and appellate law. She will bring that wealth of experience to the firm, helping clients with complex litigation matters, assisting clients throughout the appellate process, and helping churches and nonprofit organizations thrive.
