Shannon Bayona
Partner – Domestic Relations Division
Shannon Beth Bayona is an accomplished attorney with a strong background in family law, civil litigation, state and federal constitutional litigation, and appellate advocacy. Shannon’s passion for justice and confidence in the courtroom puts her clients at ease and gives them an advantage over the other side. As a member of Anchor Legal Group, her primary focus is family law, personal injury, and civil litigation where she seeks to provide her clients with a compassionate ear and a personal touch that is not often found in the practice of law.
Shannon has served as an advisor on legislation and policy for state and federal legislators and government and private agencies and taught as an adjunct faculty member at Regent University School of Law. She has been invited as a guest speaker for television and radio interviews on cases or public interest stories concerning issues within her expertise and testified before the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on the Constitution.
Shannon earned her J.D. in 1995 from Regent University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude, and her B.A., Magna cum laude, in 1992 from the University of New Hampshire, where she was Phi Beta Kappa. She is admitted to practice throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
In her free time, Shannon prefers to be outdoors, sailing, kayaking, or hiking, but most of all she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Shannon and her family reside in Chesapeake and attend New Life Church.
