Gantous, Partner, were selected to the list for their work in the legal profession. Macayla M. Nicolaison, Partner, was selected to the Rising Stars list for the second year in a row.
Super Lawyers is a national list that recognizes lawyers from across the country in more than 70 different practice areas. Candidates are nominated by their peers before undergoing a rigorous multi-phase process. This process examines a candidate’s personal achievements including their standing within the firm, their pro-bono work, and their record inside the courtroom.
Joshua J. Coe was selected to the Super Lawyers for his work in personal injury. He had been named to the Rising Stars list for seven consecutive years starting in 2014. Along with personal injury, his other practice areas include wrongful death, civil and estate litigation, commercial litigation, wills, trusts and estate planning, complex business law, corporate law, and non-profit law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Virginia, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy District Court Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Tax Court.
Anthony M. Gantous has been named to the Super Lawyers list for the past four consecutive years for his work in medical malpractice. Anthony was previously named to the Rising Stars list for four consecutive years beginning in 2012. He earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. His other practice areas include medical privacy, wrongful death, serious personal injury, maritime law, and business litigation. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, and the Virginia Beach Bar Association.
Macayla M. Nicolaison has been selected to the Rising Stars list for the past two years for her work with non-profit organizations. She earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in Virginia. She is a member of both the Virginia Bar Association and the Funding Review Committee for the United Way of South Hampton Roads. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Regent University’s Graduate School of Communications where she teaches Media Law and Ethics, Foundations of Law, Professional and Office Management, Wills, Trusts and Probate for the Professional and the Continuing Education Paralegal Studies Program.
