Anchor Legal Group, PLLC is excited to announce that Anthony M. Gantous has been chosen to the 2021 Virginia Super Lawyers list and Macayla Nicolaison has been selected to the 2021 Virginia Rising Stars list. To be selected to Super Lawyers and Rising Stars, an attorney must undergo an extensive evaluation that includes peer reviews, awards, independent research, and special licenses. Only five percent of attorneys are selected to Super Lawyers, making this a prestigious honor for any attorney.
Anthony M. Gantous, a partner of Anchor Legal Group, PLLC, has been consecutively selected to Super Lawyers each year since 2019, and was chosen as a Virginia Rising Star from 2012 through 2015. Additionally, he was named as a Virginia Legal Elite and published an article about medical privacy litigation in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal in 2009. During the start of his legal career, Anthony represented various doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, and even pharmaceutical companies, which formed him into a strong medical malpractice attorney. Anthony prides himself on providing excellent representation to numerous injured victims throughout Virginia in the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury.
Anthony received his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. During his attendance, Anthony was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and was also an assistant teacher of Legal Research and Writing. Anthony is admitted to practice in Virginia, Ohio, the U.S. District Court Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia. He is also a member of the Ohio Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, and the Virginia Beach Bar Association.
Macayla Nicolaison is a partner of Anchor Legal Group, PLLC. This is her first year being selected to Rising Stars. Through her widespread knowledge in human resources, marketing, and business matters, she is able to properly represent non-profit organizations, churches, entrepreneurs, and others in business. Macayla completed her Juris Doctor at the Regent University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Virginia. She is also a member of the Virginia Bar Association and serves on various review committees with the United Way of South Hampton Roads.
